Mountain Goat

Our Mountain Goat hunts are conducted at the end of September through the middle of October.  During this time of year it is the very start of the white ghost’s rut.  The billy’s are in prime form with unblemished, long thick coats, and are in search of nannies low on the mountains.  We can expect to see trophies in the minimum of 9”+ class with very high success ratios.  This is a backpack style hunt that takes place in the rugged Chugach Mountains with awe inspiring scenery.  This is a challenging hunt and physical fitness should be at the top of the preparation list.  This goat hunt is a draw only area.  Please contact us before December of the following year so we can submit the proper applications.  We would recommend you consider making this hunt a combination with our Brown bear/Black bear hunts as a trophy fee.  Please contact for more information

At Alaska Trophy Expeditions, we understand that due to each of our client’s unique individual situations that in some cases physical preparation cannot be fully achieved to ones desires.  In this case, we do offer the option of acquiring additional packer(s) for carrying your gear and necessities along the hunt.  Our goal is to provide every means possible of you achieving the trophy of your lifetime.
